The Colombian Association of Food Science and Technology, ACTA, convened from 1999 to ACTA Award, created to exalt the research work in scientific and technical fields, performed by individuals or groups of individuals, scientific institutions, researchers or research groups, nationally or in conjunction with international institutions. The winners are announced at the International Congress of Food Science and Technology-CONACTA.
The ACTA Award is given in four categories:
- Research in food science and technology.
- Research on food safety.
- Food and Nutrition Research.
- Contributing to a lifetime in food safety.
The Association through the ACT Award reinforces its objectives of contributing to the promotion of a scientific and technological culture in the areas of food safety and nutrition, strengthening links between academia, industry and government and private institutions.
Participants will be able to exhibit their research in one of the CONACTA´s 2014 rooms. ACTA award winners in any category will be published in the journal “Food Today” Publindex indexed.
